Event Description:

Tucked within the Medical Device Research Institute lies the Biomechanics and Implants Laboratory, also serving as the home for the Flinders Surgical Lab. Directed by Associate Professor John J Costi, the lab boasts an impressive array of resources including single and multi-axis testing machines, surgical and general tools, and facilities tailored for surgical training. At the core of the labs engineering capabilities is the Biomechanics Hexapod, facilitating realistic replication of human joint movements. Additionally, the lab houses equipment for x-ray imaging and micro-mechanical analysis.
Flinders University are always eager to share our work and welcome collaboration opportunities. Feel free to join us for a tour led by PhD candidate Michael P Russo, where you can explore the university facilities and work.
