We are privileged, for our next technical meeting, to have a presentation by A/Prof Jiawen Li, a Biomedical Engineer from the Adelaide University’s School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

About the event
Dr Li is the recipient of numerous prestigious global awards for her leading-edge research in intravascular imaging. Her work includes the development of a series of world-first and world-smallest 3D-printed imaging catheters, enabling visualisation inside arteries and underpinning studies into atherosclerotic plaque development, how plaques cause heart attacks, and their response to a range of treatments.
Dr Li will also share insights into her personal journey, which led to her being named among the world’s “Top 100 inspirational women” in 2022, alongside figures such as former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Melinda Gates.
