SMBE (SA) Scholarship

Biomedical Engineering Scholarship $1000
The SMBE (SA) Biomedical Engineering Scholarship (announced April 2007) is provided to advance knowledge amongst Biomedical Engineering practitioners in South Australia and Northern Territory. The scholarship is financial support (up to $1000) to attend or present at a biomedical engineering conference or institution. SMBE Scholarship information & application form

Applications are continuously sought for this award each year.

Philosophy	The SMBE (SA) Biomedical Engineering Scholarship is provided to advance knowledge amongst Biomedical Engineering practitioners in South Australia and Northern Territory.
Process	Upon receipt of an application, the application shall be assessed by the council of the SMBE (SA): The conference/institution be a worthy event/place for a BME practitioner to attend or present at Attendence by the practitioner contributes to BME knowledge in the state/territory
The Award	The award shall comprise financial su:pport (up to $1000) to attend or present at a biomedical engineering conference or institution as selected by the applicant.
Conditions	Open to all SMBE members from within SA and the NT who have been membersof the SMBE(SA) for at least three years. Individuals holding position on the council of the SMBE (SA) at the time of judging are ineligible for consideration. The recipient must Provide an article for the newsletter, reporting on the conference or institution. Make a presentation on the event to the society. Acknowledge the award n any related presentations or written publications. The SMBE (SA) council reserves the right to not make the award.
Application	The Scholarship Application Form should be printed out, signed by the applicant, and should be forwarded to the address indicated with supporting documentation. Please contact Honorary Secretary for further information.
